Error: Video not available...(due to video compression not installed).
Error:
Video not available, cannot find 'vids:cvid' decompressor.
Cause:
The error message can appear when attempting to play an .AVI file and the 'Compact' option was selected during the previous Windows 95 Setup. The following required files are missing: LCCVID.DLL, LR32_32.DLL, and MSRLE32.DLL. Depending on the type of compression used to compress the .avi file, 'cvid' portion of the error message may appear as 'rt21' or 'msvc'.
Solution:
Double-click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon in the 'Control Panel' window to install the missing video compression files.
NOTE: The following steps may not resolve the problem if the .AVI file was compressed with compression software that is not compatible with the software included with Windows 95. In that case, contact the manufacturer to obtain the necessary compression software.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon. (The 'Add/Remove Programs Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Windows Setup' tab.
5) Select 'Multimedia' in the 'Components' list box.
NOTE: If necessary, select the 'Multimedia' check box.
6) Click 'Details...'. (The 'Multimedia' dialog box appears.)

7) Select the 'Video Compression' check box in the 'Components' list box.
8) Click 'OK' to close the 'Multimedia' dialog box.

9) Click 'OK' to close the 'Add/Remove Programs Properties' dialog box.
10) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to exit the 'Control Panel' window.
